Your post. Especially the end. Brought the gift of tears to me. My husband was an atheist and after 7 years of marriage during a ‘fist in the air’ moment with God, he told Him, “I don’t want you…but I want to want you.” THAT was his salvation prayer... My husband grew up in the church and he said he heard the voice of The Lord so clear: “You’ve seen enough. You know what to do.” And immediately he knew that to mean, READ YOUR BIBLE AND PRAY. That sent him on a rocket ride with Jesus. I literally witnessed a miracle in my husband’s life. A new creation. May The Lamb that was slain receive the reward of His suffering in our hearts. Amen. 🙌🏼
Thanks for sharing. My husband and I say this all the time -- we'd rather be wrong and have felt peace, taught our children to be kind, tithed and felt the blessings of gratitude -- then to be "right" that this is all in our heads! I've seen His hands in too many instances to doubt that we are fearfully created by a loving Creator and that coming to know Him and His Son can change our lives. And how great to have their words to help us understand how people lived alongside their faith in a variety of circumstances. ❤️
One of the most profound things to me is the living and powerful nature of God's Word. Recorded thousands of years ago and yet each word is relevant to me right now. As I read it, the Author is there, speaking the text to my heart and mind. He often answers questions in real time through the passage I'm looking at or by reminding me of another. And there's no end to it!

Wow. That is quite the story! Thank you so much for sharing!
Amen. The Word of God does the work of God - this is why satan is so hard at work trying to keep Christians (and unbelievers) from reading it.
When we walk with the Lord,
In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way
Yes!
