This gardener/garden analogy might be the best explanation of the Gospel that I've heard. Julie, you are on fire with your Bible studies! I really appreciate your sharing all of this. Every single post has lined up with my quiet time that day or something I've been studying during the week. That's the Holy Spirit at work, teaching and reinforcing what I've learned. Thank you so much for all of this.
If there ever came a time in your busy life when you should have room for a new podcast, there is indeed one that closely maps the experiences you shared in this post.
Alisa Childers has an apologetics/theology podcast aimed at reconstructing a more robust and biblically sound belief system after having hers essentially hijacked in a similar way years ago Side details - she fronted a successful CCM girl band for years prior.
This is beautiful, Julie. Thank you so much for sharing! Wanted to ask a question for clarity, you had mentioned that Jesus was ‘created.’ Do you mean created as in he has a beginning? Or do you mean more in the sense of the Nicene Creed, ‘begotten, not made?’ There is an unpublished essay on The Trinity by Jonathan Edwards that is fantastic if you ever want a deep dive into the relationship within the GodHead. 💛
That was probably not the right word. John 1 expresses the mystery of the Trinity best for He is God. And God is uncreated. Yet He became a baby. So begotten is a better word!
John 1 is one of my favorite passages of Scripture and I was going to mention it but wanted to ask instead of seeming argumentative. It’s also so complex because Jesus’ body was definitely created but He was eternal. And it blows my mind that He STILL is in human form right now. A glorified body but still a body. What humility God has!!!! Reminds me of that scene in Aladdin. Cosmic power…itty bitty living space. 😅 Thank you for clarifying. I am so blessed by what you write. Thank you for your boldness to share! 🔥
Yes. The idea that He is still in human form is the part I cannot even wrap my head around. I’m reading a book called Knowing God and it has a lot of good explanation for the Trinity.

I'm so glad it's speaking to your heart (as it does mine). He's a very good God!
So encouraging and powerful as always Julie.
